Purpose


Plans, coordinates and executes tests and automated regression tests, according to the defined test procedures and
schedule, in order to determine the software quality.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  1. Test planning
    Defines master test plan and detailed test plan per user story, in order to obtain a precise
    overview of test planning, dependencies and activities.

    Main activities
  • Estimates workload for testing in refinements;
  • Align user story test plan with the product owner;
  • Plans test activities to support testing in the scrum team;
  • Identifies and manage dependencies (e.g. test environment, test data, risks).
  1. Test preparation
    Independently prepares the test, within procedures and test plan, in order to enable
    accurate testing of the software.

    Main activities
  • Coordinates setup of suitable test environment (OS, browsers, databases);
  • Prepares test material (e.g. test scripts, test cases, environment document).
  1. Automated test
    Help in selecting the correct automated test tooling;
    Implement automated test tooling;
    Prepare and set up automated tests to perform efficient and regular end-to-end regression tests.

    Main activities
    Set up automated regression testset;
    Assist lead developer in adding and maintaining the automated tests as part of the continuous integration solution.
  1. Testing, reporting and administration
    Tests and coordinates fairly complex software solutions, according to the defined test
    procedures and schedule, in order to determine the software quality.

    Main activities
  • Performs the functional testing (e.g. system tests, acceptance tests, regression tests)  either alone or in a team;
  • Reviews test documentation;
  • Analyses test results;
  • Reports test results to the scrum team;
  • Execute automated testing and report test results to the scrum team.
  1. Sales
    Proactively signals potential company-business in order to obtain extra income and increase
    customer satisfaction.

    Main activities
  • Assists in presales cases;
  • Informs scrum master on possible extra work;
  • Identify business opportunities comes from test work.
  1. Planning & Administration
    Ensures timely and correct planning and administration, within the company standards and
    agreements and in accordance with customer-administrations, to ensure a professional
    delivery.

    Main activities
  • Ensures timely and correct administration of time sheet;
  • Monitors progress of own tasks;
  • Communicates on forehand about possible delays or overrun.


Job Requirements


Education

  • (level of) BSc degree in IT;
  • Test skills and methodologies.


Experience, knowledge and skills

  • 2+ years of experience in testing;
  • Understanding the customer domain;
  • Basic understanding of test methodologies and test automation tools.
